The show at Elsie's was terrific. The Koalas and The Plastic Constellations tore it as did the openers the Drama Club and 24 Reasons Why. It was well attended, probably 70 people who rocked out and bowled for free.
The April 26th show to celebrate the new Minneapolis smoke free ordinance at the Bryant-Lake Bowl was a huge success. All the bands were terrific, Friendly No One, who we'll be hearing great things from (they just put out their first cd), Sparkle Motion who rose to the occasion after overcoming technical difficulties and the very new Moonshine Flush who were the highlight of the evening (do yourself a favor guys and look out for their next appearance). Over 90 people attended and we all had great fun. The BLB was a terrific host and the food and service were terrific.
Another SFSN Show Celebratin' the new Minneapolis Smoke-Free Ordinance
is heading your way. The bands will include Sparkle Motion!, Friendly No
One, and Special Guests. The show will be at The Bryant Lake Bowl on Tuesday,
the 26th of April, and of course, this little shindig is for kids of all ages.
The doors will be opening up at 6pm and the show will start at 7pm. Also,
as a bonus for the $5 cover charge, BOWLING WILL BE HALF PRICE (for all you
bowling lovers out there).
Also, in case you were curious, the CD Release Party and the Minneapolis
Smoke-Free Ordinance Kickoff went down perfectly and the bands played their hearts
out, so thanks to everyone that showed up!
CD Release Party for The Best of Smoke-Free Saturday Nights Vol. II and the Minneapolis Smoke-Free Ordinance Kickoff (all bars in Minneapolis are going smoke-free baby) this Thursday at the Dinkytowner with live music by Valet, Jacob Grun, Martin Devaney, and Kurmudgeon. Doors will be open at 5pm, music at 6pm, and all ages welcome with $5 cover, which includes your very own copy of the SFSN Vol. II CD! Make sure to Head on down to enjoy the show and... the fresh air!
We may be doing a once a month show in St. Paul very soon. Will keep you posted. Nothing definite yet.
Another Smoke-Free Show is coming up this Thursday at Elsie's Bowling Center along with free bowling! Who could ask for anything more! The line up includes Plastic Constellations, Koalas, The Drama Club, 24 Reasons Why, and DJ Good Guy Tom. This is an all-ages show that starts at 5pm and goes to 9pm.
